The Firm

A unique quality at Hanna and Brunetti is our ability to work as a team; when one person of the firm is hired the whole firm is hired. Each person has specific strengths to contribute to each project, so we are able to finish projects on time and under budget. Since all of our projects are done as a team, Hanna and Brunetti list their qualifications as a firm, together we get it done.

Statement of Qualifications

Formed in 1910, Hanna & Brunetti is a general practice, civil engineering, land surveying, planning and construction management firm. The firm provides professional services to public agencies (cities, counties, special districts) and private clients.

Civil engineering services: All phases of private and public land development projects such as: site grading; streets and highways; storm drainage facilities; sanitary sewer collection treatment and disposal systems; flood control systems and hydrology studies; utility systems; water supply, treatment and distribution systems; pipelines; land use studies; site and project planning; landscaping and irrigation; environmental evaluation; assessment district engineering; construction cost estimates; construction project administration and inspection; investigation and expert witness consultations.

Municipal engineering services: City Engineer services such as review and approval of all aspects of land development applications (tentative maps, development/subdivision agreements, improvement plans and surveying plat maps); construction management including project administration and inspection; preparation of capital improvement budgets; preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for capital improvement projects; coordination with other city, county and federal agencies.

Land surveying services: Right-of-way and property boundary surveys; topographic surveys; ALTA surveys; property and right-of-way descriptions and plats; location surveys for highways, pipelines, and utility transmission lines (power & telephone); construction staking; investigation and expert witness consultations.

Construction observation and evaluation services: Project review to observe the progress, conformance to the plans and specifications, and quality of the work completed by a contractor on a land improvement project.

    INSURANCE

    Hanna and Brunetti maintain general commercial liability for the engineering services projects. We also maintain worker’s compensation to meet statutory requirements. Hanna and Brunetti can procure other customized coverage for individual projects, which require special insurance coverage.

    SUMMARY OF RECENT CITY ENGINEERING/CITY PLANNING EXPERIENCES

    Hanna & Brunetti is the consulting City Engineer for the City of San Juan Bautista and King City. We have recently also served in this capacity for other cities and districts such as Soledad, Greenfield, Sunnyslope Water District, Tres Pinos Water District and others. All Cities and districts are presently experiencing hard economic times, while also trying to balance responsible growth. Hanna and Brunetti is familiar with the responsibilities and realities of small cities and their needs. Some of these responsibilities include:

    1. Infrastructure improvements such as: feasibility studies master planning, environmental coordination, plans, specifications and cost estimates.
    2. Provide construction inspection/management services for land development projects.
    3. Preparation of Impact Fee/Master Plan Studies for Water, Storm Drain, Traffic and Wastewater facilities. These plans are used for the determination of in-tract improvement requirements for proposed land development projects.
    4. Represent the City(s) in review of construction problems.
    5. Assisted the in emergency situations such as El Nino floods, and with FEMA funding to repair damaged infrastructure.
